Baby Snake Blows Bubbles

Snake

Once upon a time, in a peaceful little forest, there lived a baby snake named Slippy. Unlike other snakes, who were busy sneaking through the grass and scaring the occasional squirrel, Slippy had a very peculiar hobby—blowing bubbles!

Now, you might wonder how a snake with no hands could possibly blow bubbles. But Slippy was no ordinary snake. She had discovered the art of bubble-blowing purely by accident one day when she slithered through a patch of soapberries. The juice from the berries mixed with the morning dew, and before she knew it, a shiny bubble popped out of her mouth! From that moment on, Slippy was hooked.

Every day, Slippy would sneak out of her burrow, find a patch of soapberries, and start her bubble-blowing adventure. She would slither around, taking deep breaths and then, with a tiny hiss, release a stream of bubbles into the air. The bubbles were big, small, and every size in between. They floated up, catching the sunlight, and filled the forest with a rainbow of colors.

Slippy’s bubble-blowing didn’t go unnoticed. Soon, all the animals in the forest were talking about it. The rabbits hopped over to see, the birds perched on branches to watch, and even the grumpy old tortoise, who usually had no time for such nonsense, came by to witness the spectacle.

One day, while Slippy was in the middle of her usual bubble-blowing routine, she noticed something strange. One of the bubbles she had blown wasn’t just floating away—it was coming back towards her! It grew bigger and bigger, and before Slippy could react, it swallowed her whole!

Inside the bubble, everything looked wavy and distorted. Slippy felt like she was floating, weightless and free. She tried to move, but the bubble just bounced her gently from side to side. At first, she was a bit scared, but then she realized she could see the entire forest from up here! The view was amazing.

The other animals watched in awe as the giant bubble, with Slippy inside, floated up into the sky. The birds flew alongside, chirping in excitement, while the squirrels chattered away, wondering where the bubble would take her.

But just as the bubble was about to rise above the treetops, a sudden gust of wind blew it towards a prickly bush! All the animals gasped, and Slippy’s eyes widened as she saw the sharp thorns coming closer. “Oh no!” she hissed. But just as the bubble was about to pop, a flock of butterflies fluttered in, gently guiding the bubble away from danger and back into the open air.

Finally, the bubble began to descend, slowly drifting downwards until it touched the soft grass and popped with a gentle “plop.” Slippy landed softly on the ground, unharmed but a little dizzy. She looked around at her friends, who were all cheering and clapping their paws, wings, and claws.

From that day on, Slippy’s bubble-blowing became the highlight of the forest. Animals from far and wide came to see the amazing baby snake who could blow bubbles and float in the air. And as for Slippy, she continued her bubble-blowing adventures, always with a smile on her face and a little more caution around prickly bushes.

So, if you ever wander into a forest and see a rainbow of bubbles floating through the air, you might just be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Slippy, the baby snake, having the time of her life—blowing bubbles and bringing joy to all her forest friends.
