Snake Rides a Bike to Visit a Friend

Snake

Once upon a time in a quiet forest, there lived a snake named Slithery. Unlike other snakes, Slithery had a unique ambition—he wanted to learn how to ride a bicycle. His friends in the forest often laughed at the idea. “A snake on a bike? Impossible!” they said. But Slithery was determined.

One sunny morning, Slithery spotted a shiny red bicycle leaning against a tree. It belonged to his friend, Toad. Toad was taking a nap nearby, snoring loudly. Slithery thought, “This is my chance!”

With great effort, Slithery slithered up the bicycle and somehow managed to balance himself on the seat. His long, flexible body wrapped around the handlebars, and he used his tail to push the pedals. After a few wobbly starts, Slithery was off!

The sight of a snake riding a bicycle through the forest caused quite a stir. The squirrels stopped gathering nuts to stare, the birds forgot their songs, and even the usually grumpy old owl cracked a smile.

As Slithery zoomed through the forest, he felt the wind rush past his scales. He was so focused on pedaling that he didn’t notice the steep hill ahead. Down he went, faster and faster, until the bike was practically flying. Slithery’s heart pounded in his chest, but he couldn’t stop now—he was having too much fun!

At the bottom of the hill, Slithery finally slowed down and realized he had arrived at his friend Rabbit’s burrow. He had done it! He had ridden a bicycle all the way to visit a friend.

Rabbit popped his head out of the burrow, his eyes wide with surprise. “Slithery, is that you? On a bike?”

Slithery grinned (as much as a snake can grin). “Sure is, Rabbit! Care for a ride?”

Rabbit laughed so hard he could barely speak. “I think I’ll stick to hopping, but thanks for the offer!”

And so, Slithery became the talk of the forest. The snake who dared to dream big, who showed everyone that with determination (and a bit of flexibility), anything was possible—even riding a bike to visit a friend.
